Occoquan Historical Society
(formerly Historic Occoquan, Inc.)
Thanks to the generosity of Kevin Sills of Mid Atlantic Real Estate Investments, Inc., the Occoquan Historical Society will be auctioning off some old Occoquan items located at the future site of the Mill at Occoquan project. The auction will take place on Saturday, June 3, during the town's RiverFest event. There will be a preview of items from noon to 1:00 p.m. and then the auction will take place from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. To access the site of the auction patrons will need to attend the town's RiverFest event and proceed along the sidewalk just to the west of 313 Mill Street behind the vendor tents and through a gate. Modest signage will identify the location. Cash and credit cards will be accepted and payment is due at the auction. Auction winners can leave with items or arrange to pick them up at a later date (no cars will be allowed in the area during RiverFest). Below are some of the items that will be sold. (Assorted tools, lawnmowers, canvas firehose, and phone booth not shown.)
